Program Manager | PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor
Blu was born in Texas and raised in a military family. Blu has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design/Marketing from Oklahoma Christian University. She is a self-employed graphic designer and teaches tai chi part-time to seniors and enjoys making wood crafts for her booth. She has started three colts and learned the basics of horse training at the SNU Colt Starting Class. Blu has been a volunteer in the therapeutic riding world for several years and became a PATH Intl. Certified Instructor in 2019. She owns a beautiful, yet highly-opinionated mare, Miracle and her sweet dog, Dottie. Blu says, "I fell in love with the mission of putting a horse and a special needs child together when I rode behind a young cowgirl named Hadley. Hadley was in a wheelchair with her communication coming through her eyes. Experiencing Hadley’s new view with her, holding her up, moving with the motion of the horse and watching the team of horse, volunteers, nurse and instructor all work together made such an impact on me. Honestly, it changed me forever. IF one day with a horse can make this much difference in a child.... then.... I AM IN. It was the most special four years of my life and started me on this incredible journey with the horse."
Tyler Gamble recently joined Savannah Station as the Facilities Manager. He says, "It is such an honor to be joining this amazing organization." He is married to Mrs. Brooke Gamble and she is God’s gift to me. I am a father to three beautiful boys, Gunner (12), Weston (5) and Bryler (1). It’s basically one giant wrestling match at home. They are my world and everything I do; I do for them. Tyler says, “I have always been motivated by the desire to serve others. I have learned that in doing so, my purpose is being fulfilled in this life. Jesus came to serve, not to be served and that’s what I feel called to imitate. It brings deep meaning to my heart to see others lives being impacted through love and acts of service. Every day is a new opportunity to get outside of myself and this is the perfect place to do just that.” He grew up in Alabama and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 2003. He joined the United States Army at 18 and immediately attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. From there he attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL. He graduated with an Associates of Science degree in Military Science in 2006. Upon graduation, I was commissioned as an officer to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. I served in the Field Artillery as a Fire Direction Officer as well as a Battery Executive Officer (XO). In 2011, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served in Theater for one year. He was Honorably Discharged from the service in 2012. After serving nine happy years. Outside of the military I have worked in several fields including Information Technology (Tech Support), Communications, Public Utilities, Lawn Care and a few others. The skills he has acquired thus far will allow him to thrive in this position. I love the beautiful outdoors and standing in awe of God’s creation. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking, camping and being around horses. I am also a musician. I’ve been a drummer since I was a little boy and I currently serve as the drummer for my church, Bethel Community Church. He also plays piano, acoustic guitar and sings; worshiping King Jesus. Tyler has hit the ground running. He says, “The mission here is incredibly special and I am truly humbled to be a part of it. I look forward to many years of hard work and building lifelong relationships with all of you. The future is so bright for Savannah Station and there is no better time to be a part of it all. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I wish you all the best. My family and I feel like this really is “Our Forever Home”.”
