​Facilities Manager
​A requirement of this position is to live on-site in a nice home with all utilities provided.  An approximate value of $21,000 annually. 

​The caretaker of a 20-acre horse property and is responsible for the care and maintenance of facility, grounds, vehicles, and maintenance equipment. This employee ensures that the facilities are safe, clean, organized, neat in appearance, and in good repair for horses, participants, volunteers, visitors and employees.  Additionally, the FM will collaborate with other employees for idea sharing and resource allocation and be available to assist the program and administrative staff when necessary. This is a full-time, hourly position that may include evenings, weekends and holidays, based on a 32-hour per week work schedule. Benefits include PTO and 9 paid holidays. 
 
Job Duties Include (but not limited to):
 Facilities

• Oversees facility, maintenance equipment, onsite housing, pastures, and fencing upkeep and maintenance.
• Makes daily rounds to ensure facilities and grounds are organized, clean, manicured, neat and in good repair.
• Makes daily night check on horses and ensures doors are locked and gates are shut.
• Schedules, meets with, and oversees repairmen and service providers.
• Ensures vehicles and trailers are kept in a state of readiness and up to date on maintenance and registrations.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance records on all equipment.
• Purchases facility care supplies and equipment.
• Works with Program Manager to ensure riding arenas are maintained and prepared for classes and other program activities.
• Works with Equine Manager to order and procure feed, hay and shavings to care for the equine herd.
• Adheres to PATH Intl Facility Premier Standards.
• Maintains a “project list” for work groups and community service groups.  
• Responsible for stall, water sources, paddock and pasture cleaning, mowing and maintenance.
• Works with the Executive Director in budget development for facility care and adheres to budget constraints.

 
Qualifications

• Must have at least three years (3) knowledge and experience in the principles of farming, facility maintenance, using and caring for farm equipment, and maintenance of land and pastures.
• Horse experience preferred or a willingness to learn.
• Management experience and higher education a plus.
• Must have strong work ethic, personal character, initiative, awareness of jobs needing accomplished in a timely manner, and the ability to work independently.
• Must have vision, ability to lead others, strong principles, a moral compass and ability to build consensus.
• Must be detail oriented and demonstrate organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills. 
• Must have current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive truck and trailer.

 
 Supervisory

• Supervises Grounds Team volunteers as assigned.
• Supervises and manages community service groups of volunteers. Ensures that liability releases are secured for each individual.

 
 General

• Upholds the mission, vision and values of Savannah Station as well as an attitude of philanthropy.
• Must represent Savannah Station in a professional manner with character and integrity both on-site and off-site.
• Abides by all regulations, policies and procedures of Savannah Station and governmental authorities.
• Works with the Executive Director in developing and updating applicable policies and procedures.
• Attends board and staff meetings as a member of the Leadership Team.
• Attends special events as requested and serves on committees as assigned.

​Volunteer Coordinator
​Responsible for on-boarding and coordination of volunteers. This position will utilize phone, email, text, social media and database management for volunteers. Working with the Program Manager and staff, this position will assist with the development of effective volunteer procedures, scheduling, policies, and recordkeeping as directed. The VC will assist with paperwork and other duties as assigned by the PM.  VC will collaborate with other employees for idea sharing and resource allocation and be available to assist the administrative staff when necessary. This position is a full-time, hourly position that may include evenings, weekends and holidays, based on a 32-hour per week work schedule.

 Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Answer phone, text, social media and email inquiries and provide a prompt professional response.
• Oversees volunteer intake process and paperwork and performs background checks.
• Coordinates and schedules volunteers to fill classes.
• Introduces and hands-off new volunteers to class instructor, project manager or leader for integration.
• Once project is approved by Executive Director, works with project leaders to assist in scheduling volunteers and resources as needed for workdays, events, celebrations, and awareness events.
• As directed, assists with volunteer orientation and makes changes to current procedures and manuals.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Assist in coordinating volunteer appreciation events.
• Maintains and updates volunteer paperwork/records.
• Oversees annual volunteer information update to meet PATH Intl standards.
• Keep accurate records of all volunteer hours, skills and trainings.

• Sends cards recognizing volunteer special events such as birthdays, anniversaries and the loss of loved ones.
• Assist with digital/social media and assist the PM as needed.

 
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent job experience and one (1) year of management experience. 
• Clear communication and teamwork are essential to all aspects of successfully fulfilling this position.
• Must be very organized, solution oriented, detail conscious, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong computer skills and database management.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, passion for excellence and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with deadlines, under pressure, and in strict confidence.
